Cosmetic condition

Chipped paint at every corner. But not excessively so. This one
will clean up. Let's make it shiny when it is ready for reassembly.

Taking a look under the hood:

Note how the Thorens label, glued onto the chassis beneath where the platter
runs, has come unglued? The original adhesive has dried out and no longer
holds the label in place. This is a fairly common sight.
non standard bearing cap. Is heavy gunmetal end cap from The Analog
Dept. That is an upgrade. Also, the fasteners mounting the bearing housing to the cast chassis
should be slotted, but are internal hex cap screws. Not important, just
noting the condition as found.

one non standard fastener holding down the ac terminal. Different head type. Another non standard
fastener holding down the clip that secures the ac power cord. Should be
slotted, is philips.

one non standard fastener holding the neon lamp in position. Strobe
mirror has a small chip broken off of it at one corner.
Neon Lamp and holder

congratulations, it still lights up!

next: disassemble the chassis
