34259 Disassembly

With the bottom cover removed, the Thorens TD150 is the very definition of
simplicity in a manual operated record player.

Tonearm wires

Removing the top facia from the motor plate was easier than expected. A
heat gun was used to soften the adhesive. But when I removed the very thin
sheet of aluminum, I found that the method of adhesion was by 2-way tape at the
perimeter. There were also 4 sheet metal screws holding the facia down at
equally spaced inward locations.

holds it.

by designing and manufacturing wind-up motors...................
.............To design a multi function switch like this. Simple.
Cheap. Reliable. Made from scraps of remnant metals readily at hand
and one (ea) off-the-shelf electrical switch.
Pull up to turn off. Push down to start the
platter. Turn left/right to switch speed.
