Assembling the suspended sub-chassis to the base plate.

Ordinarily when someone refers to assembling a turntable, most people would consider it to be a one person operation.  Now, consider the massive cast aluminum sub-chassis of the Thorens Reference 1.  This becomes a two person job.  The fit between sub-chassis and base plate is more precise than it might appear also.  Note that the control panel had to be disassembled in order to mount the sub-chassis.
