Colin Martin's TD150.  With some modifications...........

Colin's comments:

................I have attached some pictures of my Thorens TD150.................
It runs complete with a Poul Ladegaard air bearing tone arm which I made myself using pieces from the DIY store. More details can be found here

http://www.aiko.com/roscoe/airbearingarm.html

The arm uses an air bearing for the horizontal tracking and a knife edge for the vertical. Its a very clever device that runs from fish tank air pumps.

The TD150 is an old one I reconditioned, there's still some work to do but it runs well and sounds great. It is mounted in a multi-layer solid plywood plinth and the arm is fixed to this not the sub chassis as it has to be level all the time or the arm hovers to one side.

It all sits on a shelf bolted to the wall made from an old road sign cut and welded into shape.

Colin
