This sub-platter is driven by the motor belt.  Keep your fingers off the spindle... please.  Your finger prints have acid and oils which will corrode the precision surface on this piece.....!  Refer to the manual for the correct oil should this become dry.  Keep in mind that lubrication lasts a very long time on these tables.
