I asked for a replacement belt for a TD160.  Here's what I got.

In the mail from Lahr, Germany.  It took 3 days total via German airmail. Ordered it Friday, received it Monday.  Pretty good response time...!

Instruction sheet is in German.  Part number is Thorens.

Comparing the new belt to the original issue Thorens belt.  The new belt is obviously smaller in circumference.  These belts stretch and the original had 28 years to do it.  Both belts show about the same level of elasticity when subjectively tested by stretching each belt between my hands. Width is the same for both at 4mm (.156 inches). Cross-sectional thickness is .7mm both belts (.03 inches).

There is no contact.  Armboard should be centered.  If when you install a replacement belt and the armboard is pulled against the inside wall of the port opening, then maybe the belt is the wrong length or elasticity.

When the motor is switched on at 33-1/3rpm, spool up time is half that of the old worn out belt.

Now for the verdict:  ahem.....I the jury find this belt..........acceptable. Width and cross section thickness are the same as the original belt.  Elasticity, compares closely to the original belt.  Spool-up time is greatly reduced thanks to this being a new belt.

Disclaimer: At present I have no apparatus for measuring load and length of stretch for the belts.  Neither do I have manufacturers specifications for these attributes.  Hence the "subjective" stretch test.
