The armboards:

| accommodate 9 inch to 12 inch effective lengths at either location |
| 1-1/2 inches thick for a mass-loaded mounting |
| armboard material/composition is optional |
| The plinth construction finishes 5 inches thick. |
| The core material is Baltic Birch ply in 1/2 inch layers, stacked and bonded. |
| The outer material is 1/2 inch thick hardwood of your choice. shown here is cocobolo |
Note that outer veneer is not used.
