Thomas Kamvoussioras sent in some pics of his TD160B Mk II today. This table is equipped with a very rare Thorens disc-contact vacuum platter mat. For a closer understanding of the mechanics of this vacuum platter mat refer to the user manual in pdf format. (Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or higher is required.) Thomas says the vacuum platter makes a huge difference in sound when compared to the standard issue Thorens rubber mat.
