From the top with the platter and sub-platter removed, the spindle bushing is clearly visible. Note that the sub-platter and platter (removed) are held in place by gravity. If you turn this table upside down, they will fall out....! Note also the 2-speed motor pulley and speed selector lever. The lever moves the flat belt between the different diameters of the pulley to achieve either 33-1/3rpm or 45rpm. The post behind the pulley is a safety device that keeps the outer platter from colliding with the pulley.
